Supporting artists who use new technology to hone their craft

Welcome to the TOMtech microsite

TOMtech is a catalyst programme that bridges the gap between performing artists and creative technologists, run by The Old Market (or TOM as we like to call it) – an independent venue in Brighton, UK.  We commission new work for immersive mediums, host critical debate, as well as stage labs to introduce VR, AR, motion capture, and 360 film to live performance.  As the pace of technological development accelerates, we ask ourselves what our role as a venue will be in the years to come, and how we and our audiences will consume arts & entertainment in the future.

Please explore the site, read about our lab programme and join the conversation.
